ICP Sensor / Injector Control Pressure Sensor fits Ford F250 F350 F450 F550 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo Diesel 1999-2006

This F Truck Injector Control Pressure sensor or ICP sensor is fitted to the 1999-2006 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L V8 Turbo diesel engine found in Ford F250, F350, F450 and F550. It is mounted in front of the Left hand cylinder Head on these 7.3L powerstroke V8 engines and measures the high pressure oil which feeds a signal to the ecu that is in turn is used to manage the injection system and IRP Valve.

If the ICP sensor or Injector Control Pressure sensor fails (and it is known to fail without warning) then you will not be able to start or run the 7.3L Turbo Diesel Powerstroke engine in your Ford F Truck  F250, F350, F450 or F550.

It is a simple job to replace the ICP sensor on your V8 Powerstroke and a new O ring is included, Some people will even carry a spare in the glove box in case of a failure as these are not readily available from a local dealer. ICP sensor failure symptons include not starting, lack of power, stalling especially under acceleration, RPM fluctuations and possibly a Check Engine Light or CEL and fault code.
